A SECRET that cannot be told.

Earlier today, I watched a movie that I wanted to watch back in 2007 when it was playing in the theater. It's a Taiwanese movie directed by taiwanese musician Jay Chou's called SECRET. Apart from just directing the movie, Jay Chou actually composed 21 songs for the movie together with famous Thai musician Terdsak Janpan. Now, he is really talented. You know why? That's because the film possesses beautiful art direction, cinematography and music which is genuinely stirring.

Talking about the movie, eventhough the plot may seem simple at the begginning, it's actually full of twist that will crack your head as it approaches the ending. Trust me, it's a beautiful movie. To give you a rough idea about the movie, let me briefly explain to you about the plot of the movie. This movie is about Ye Xiang Lun who is a music student majoring in piano who got transferred to a school well known for its musically talented students, especially in piano. On his first day, he hears a mysterious melody being played as he was wandering around the school. This leads him to Lu Xiao Yu, another piano major. When he asks her about the song that she was playing, she tells him that it is a secret that cannot be told. The two of them gradually form a friendship that grew into a romantic relationship. Nevertheless, the mystery begans when Xiao Yu begins dissapearing for five months, returned on graduation day and dissapearing again. There is a secret that cannot be told, a secret that brings back his father's past and a secret held by the beautiful mysterious melody played by Xiao Yu. It's a secret that will only be revealed at the end of the story and that's when you will realize that it all makes sense. It's a beautiful, yet mind-boggling story that need to be well-understood because the plot is creatively and meticulously crafted with the thrilling rhythm of the secret music. I really loved it. I know it's very late to say this, but here it goes...Job well done, Jay Chou!
