SMILE - Avril Lavigne

Smile video is finally out, and I LOVE it. Check it out :)

You stole my heart and you're the one to blame.
Yeah.

And that's why... I smile,
It's been a while,
Since everyday and everything has felt this right...
And now, You turn it all around,
And suddenly you're all I need,
The reason why, I SMILE

GoodbyeLullaby

I have been listening to Avril's lastest album, Goodbye Lullaby and guess what? I am actually loving the songs. They are purdy honest and you can easily relate to them in situations and circumstances in your life when you're in love or when you're grappling with relationships and break ups. You can find a song that you want to blast and party to such as What The Hell and Smile, and then, there are also songs that are very deep that would reflect your vulnerable side and maturity such as Everybody Hurts, Wish You Were Here and Not Enough. A beautiful album with uplifting songs, and definitely the right one that caters my need at this moment.

p/s: To all Mothers, and soon to be Mothers in this world, HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!! Thank you for everything, mom. I love you so much.

A SECRET that cannot be told.

Earlier today, I watched a movie that I wanted to watch back in 2007 when it was playing in the theater. It's a Taiwanese movie directed by taiwanese musician Jay Chou's called SECRET. Apart from just directing the movie, Jay Chou actually composed 21 songs for the movie together with famous Thai musician Terdsak Janpan. Now, he is really talented. You know why? That's because the film possesses beautiful art direction, cinematography and music which is genuinely stirring.

Talking about the movie, eventhough the plot may seem simple at the begginning, it's actually full of twist that will crack your head as it approaches the ending. Trust me, it's a beautiful movie. To give you a rough idea about the movie, let me briefly explain to you about the plot of the movie. This movie is about Ye Xiang Lun who is a music student majoring in piano who got transferred to a school well known for its musically talented students, especially in piano. On his first day, he hears a mysterious melody being played as he was wandering around the school. This leads him to Lu Xiao Yu, another piano major. When he asks her about the song that she was playing, she tells him that it is a secret that cannot be told. The two of them gradually form a friendship that grew into a romantic relationship. Nevertheless, the mystery begans when Xiao Yu begins dissapearing for five months, returned on graduation day and dissapearing again. There is a secret that cannot be told, a secret that brings back his father's past and a secret held by the beautiful mysterious melody played by Xiao Yu. It's a secret that will only be revealed at the end of the story and that's when you will realize that it all makes sense. It's a beautiful, yet mind-boggling story that need to be well-understood because the plot is creatively and meticulously crafted with the thrilling rhythm of the secret music. I really loved it. I know it's very late to say this, but here it goes...Job well done, Jay Chou!

Aftermath of BTN

Yeay, back from BTN in one piece. I survived the 5 long days without phone, without proper food, without adequate sleep and away from civilization (?). Nevertheless, it was all good and fun. I mean, I kinda learnt alot in that 5 days time, ALOT about the country and the constitution that others out there may not even know. I have always been proud to be a Malaysian, but after BTN, I am even more proud to say that I am a Malaysia. I love my country even more now. Malaysia is indeed a beautiful country, let's not spoil it by being so selfish and judgemental because at the end of the day, it all comes down to us. Our perspectives, our thoughts, our voices and our actions matter the most, and let's uphold the dignity and freedom of our country by supporting the 1Malaysia concept. Ultimately, togetherness and mutual respect are the prominent values in achieving nationalism and social justice, not selfishness. Peace y'all.
