Summer classes ended about 2 weeks ago and I'm more than glad that I managed to score 4.0 once again :) Thank you God! Now that Summer classes have ended, all the seniors have graduated and are back home for good. It's crazy how time flies. A lot of things happened in a short span of time. I moved into a new house and finally got my very own room which I have been busy revamping and decorating. I pierced my navel after so longgg! Last week, I went to New Brunswick to visit Gajen, spent a couple of days there and tasted the best bubble tea ever! The highlight of my summer break is definitely LPU International Summit and the Honda Civic Tour featuring Mutemath, Incubus and Linkin Park. It was truly an amazing experience for I had the opportunity of meeting the members of Linkin Park in person during the Meert&Greet, Q&A session, backstage touring and intimate acoustic performance. I managed to get them to sign my T-shirt and I even fist-punched Chester and Mike! How cool is that?
I have been dreaming of meeting them and attending their concert for the past 9 years and it all finally came true. Everything felt too good to be true. These are the things in life that perpetually inspire me to carry on and hold on to things that mean a lot to me. I have been dreaming and praying almost every day for 9 years and I had so much faith in my dreams. Now that I think back, I have always gotten what I wished for despite some inevitable hurdles and turmoils that I have gone through. I bet everyone did and do go through all these things in their quest of wishing and praying for dreams, hopes and desires. Coming back to the concert, it was AWESOME and MIND-BLOWING!! The crowd was amazing and the band was rocking the stage. It was insanely crazyyyy and I had the time of my life during the short one and a half hour of their concert. I was emotionally moved and could not describe in words on how awesome and cool they were, how energetic they were on the stage performing their awesome songs flawlessly. I am more in LOVE with them after the concert because they were that awesome yo! It was definitely worth the wait, worth the money and worth the time. Check out the pictures in my Facebook :)
After the concert, Rohan, Lee Ying and I visited New York and stayed at Hoboken for two days. We went to Madame Tussauds , Times Square, Liberty Island, Museum of Sex, Wall Street, 5th Avenue, Trump Building and etc. Pictures will be up on Facebook soon. :)
All in all, I had a pretty good summer. I feel so productive! I took classes for both summer sessions and I did well, I kick-started my Independent Research course, I worked at the Dining Halls, I did a lot of fun stuffs and fulfilled some of things in my Bucket List. Amid all these, I just lost my hold on something that really mean a lot to me, something that I cherish a lot.
They say all good things will come to an end, perhaps it's true.
Summer has passed, and in these short 4 months, I have realized how unpredictable life can be. You don't know what the future holds in store for you, but whatever it is the decision that you make, you just have to put your best foot forward and make it through. Fall is starting next week and I am about to enter my junior year. Although I am not really looking forward to it, I am hoping it'll be a good one, one that I will cherish forever. Good luck, guys!
